Confinement Dish by Knife Pure Sesame Oil






After sunday mass ended, i when to Midvalley Mega Mall to buy some clothes for myself, then i notice have some expo for Mom & Baby at hall 1 & hall 2 but i did get in as i more interested on the cooking demo from Amy (if i not mistaken) & Knife.

Here is the simple yet very good during confinement :-

1. Knife Pure Sesame Oil Pepper Chicken Stew

Ingredients :
4 chicken whole leg, cut into pieces

Marinade :

3tbsp peppercons, crushed
3tbsp ginger juice
3tbsp rice wine (can use white or brown color rice wine but i prefer brown as it more sweat in taste)
1tbsp oyster sauce
3tbsp knife pure sesame oil

Additional :

2 big onions, cut into wedges
3 potatoes, cut into chunks
2 carrots, cut into chunks
750ml water

Method :

1. Mix chicken with marinade and season for 1hour.
2. Heat up sesame oil (no cooking oil are using), add chicken and stir-fry till aromatic.
3. Add (Additional) and stir to mix. Pour in some water, bring to boil, lower heat and cook till all the chicken and vegetables are soft and gravy has thickened.
4. Ready to be serve.

2. Knife Pure Sesame Oil Steamed Fish

Ingredients :
1 (average 750g) fresh fish but i prefer (Ikan Bawal Putih)

A:
1tsp salt
1/4tsp pepper
1/2tsp cornflour
3tbsp Knife Pure Sesame Oil
100g minced ginger
5pips minced garlic
3tbsp rice wine

Some coriander leaves, spring onions and red chilles for garnishing.

Method :

1. Rub all (A) over fish and season for 15minutes.

2. Heat up sesame oi, saute minced ginger and garlic till aromatic. Add rice wine and salt to taste. Turn off the gas.

3. Arrange fish onto a steaming plate, pour the ginger & garlic over the fish and steam with high heat for 12-15min or till cooked.

4. Remove and sprinkle some coriander leaves, spring onions and red chilles for garnishing.

5. Serve hot.
