Tetra Pak, Nestlé and Tesco to Spearhead Recycling Campaign in 14 Tesco Hypermarkets and 5 Schools
Recycling Campaign to Feature the First of its Kind Recycling Vending Machine in Malaysia
Tetra Pak (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad and Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd are collaborating for a second consecutive year to organise a recycling campaign aimed at driving awareness on the importance of recycling and increase the collection of used beverage cartons. The campaign kicks off today for two months in 14 Tesco Hypermarkets and five schools in the Klang Valley.
This year’s campaign will also feature a first of its kind recycling vending machine where consumers can slot in their used beverage cartons to redeem Nestlé MILO packs and collect Tesco Clubcard points. For every 10 Nestlé branded packet drinks that consumers bring to Tesco to recycle, they will be entitled to a RM1 rebate off their purchase for a MILO UHT (1litre) pack. Additionally, Tesco Clubcard members will be entitled to redeem 1 Clubcard point for every used beverage carton that they recycle at the vending machine.
Beginning 1 October until 30 November, consumers are encouraged to bring their used beverage cartons to any of the 14 participating Tesco Hypermarkets in the Klang Valley. Additionally, in an effort to educate the younger generation on the importance of recycling, five schools have been selected and provided with a recycling vending machine. The selected schools are SK Sri Kelana, SK Ampang Campuran, SJK Pandamaran B, SJK Pui Ying, and SK Pusat Bandar Puchong (1). All the used beverage cartons collected from the 14 Tesco Hypermarkets and five schools will then be sent to a paper mill where it will be processed into recycled paper and other items such as roofing sheets, pencil cases or CD holders.

My Happiest Moment
On 21st August 2011, Clare was born at 3.58am with only 2.84kg. This little angel are my pride and joy after ten years since I was been told by a Doctor that my chances to get pregnant are very slim due to my irregular menstrual cycle. I can said she really a god present for me since 1 cancellation of engagement, 1humiliation from the older forks said i'll not be good enough for their son and a pre-natal depression that cause me losing my job.
Luckier I manage handle it over by taking step by step management solver to handling my obstacle. My baby step and patience that lead me a great result by having her in my arm. Now I also have a great job to be proud off.
May I can become a great mother and guardian for my little one to become a proud person for our land, our beloved country.

Kacang Soya / Soy :)
KACANG SOYA ataupun nama saintifiknya glycine max, sejenis tumbuhan tegak dan rimbun berukuran sehingga 70 cm. Bunganya berbentuk gumpalan, berwarna putih dan ungu. Manakala bijinya adakala berwarna kuning, hijau, coklat ataupun hitam atau kedua-duanya.
Kacang soya adalah legume berprotin tinggi (keluarga fabaceae) yang ditanam sebagai makanan bagi manusia dan ternakan. Perkataan soy (soya bean) diambil dari perkataan bahasa Jepun, shoyu (kicap).
Ia dianggap sebagai sumber protein lengkap iaitu protein yang mengandungi sejumlah besar kesemua asid amino penting yang diperlukan oleh tubuh manusia kerana ketidakupayaan badan manusia bagi menghasilkannya. Dengan sebab ini, kacang soya amat penting bagi kebanyakan pengamal vegetarian. Protein kacang soya pada asasnya sama dengan biji legum lain (pulses). Bijiran bukan legum yang lain mempunyai profil yang setanding dengan kacang soya adalah bijiran seperti oat.

Keluaran ini mempunyai tekstur dan bentuk yang serupa dengan keluaran berasaskan susu, bagaimanapun hasil soya tidak mengandungi jumlah kalsium yang banyak. Maka, kebanyakan pengeluar kacang soya menjual keluaran diperkaya dengan kalsium.
Tofu mengandungi sejumlah besar mineral penting kerana garam kalsium digunakan bagi pemejal protein dalam susu soya bagi menghasilkan tauhu (tofu). Tambahan lagi, protein soya telah didapati dapat mengurangkan penyingkiran kalsium oleh buah pinggang.
Kacang soya digunakan dalam barangan pengilangan termasuk minyak, sabun kosmetik, resin, plastik, dakwat, krayon, pelarut dan biodesile.

4. Kaya dengan vitamin A, B, C, D serta lacithin.
5. Ia boleh dijadikan bahan pengganti susu bagi bayi yang mempunyai alahan terhadap susu lembu.
6. Protein soya boleh mengurangkan risiko penyakit kanser dan jantung.
7. Mudah dicerna dan mengandungi semua asid amino yang diperlukan untuk membina dan membaiki tisu badan yang rosak serta membekalkan tenaga.
